Today, I'm going to talk about a tool that I always wanted since I was a little kid. I was born with with thick, wavy cum curly boring hair. I never ever liked my hair and wanted to straighten them as soon as I grow up and start earning. So I got them straightened from Looks Salon and I was on top of the world. I felt like some heroine :p

My thoughts on it...

So I got this straightener after doing a lot of research. I has one straightener which was from a random brand but since I had re-bonded hair, it worked pretty decent on them for an year or two. Then I got a major hair cut :p and I chopped my hair off completely. Now my hair is growing which is wavy and messy so I needed a straightener and thought of buying a good one this time. Coming to the product talks, I'm quite impressed with this straightener as it works perfectly for me because I have short hair. I have crazy wavy hair and it straightens them wonderfully that too with two strokes. It heats up in a minute and gives shiny, smooth hair without damaging them as it comes with ceramic plates.  I had no issues with this straightener so far (been two months) so I'm quite satisfied with it. I have posted pictures with two types of hair which I tried to straighten. One is already re-bonded hair and the other one is a messy wavy hair of my mother :D.

On my mother's hair, it took about 30-35 minutes and a lot of swipes per section of hair so that was little frustrating. So if you have long messy hair chop them off ;p just kidding, you need to have some patience. On the other hand, it will work perfectly on re-bonded/ less messy hair. Ohh it has a locking system and on-off switch as well.

Doesn't give salon straight hair as it says.

Might not work properly on long frizzy, curly hair (better skip this one if you have such hair type)

I think eyeliners and kajals are like a woman's gehna atleast for 90% of them. So today I'm going to talk about this eyeliner from blue heaven. I'm not a eyeliner person as in I don't usually prefer eyeliners or for that matter even kajals. Blue heaven is very old brand because I remember this name since my childhood I guess. My mother used to have kajal and lipstick of this brand but now with the new brands coming up in the market, this one has certainly vanished somewhere.

My thoughts on it....

I use eyeliners only when I want to look a extra special or little pretty but I end up looking like a witch for some reason. I was into eyeliners and kajals when I started working but then slowly and gradually the craze went off and now my focus is majorly on lipsticks. Anywhooo, talking about this liner, it is a jet black colour with a matte finish which is the most amazing feature of this liner. I don't prefer glossy or shiny eyeliners but if you do then this one is not for you. I applied this at 11 in the morning and it stayed for the whole freaking day. It doesn't smudge that easily as it claims but yes if you rub hard, it will start coming off. It has a felt tip so if you are a beginner, there is struggle to get that perfect wing :p. I have posted pictured below.

Well this shade is a new entrant in my pouch...and I took a sigh of relief as I got what I was looking for a looooong time...seriously !! My take on Lakme M423

It is a deep wine-ish shade which will extremely compliment the dusky beauties. Only one swipe of this babe and you are done for the day. It just brightens up your face or even a dull day for that matter. It is creamy in texture, glides on like a pro so you don't need a lip balm or gloss to mosturize your lips before applying this. If you are a matte person like me, you can just blot with a tissue to get rid of any excess creame/gloss. Enjoy the swatches below.

Hope your Sunday was full of surprises, love, flowers, gifts and some more love. Since its valentines day, I thought of sharing my reviews on a RED lip colour that I bought recently. I'm in love with this hot colour that I got from my favourite Sarojini Nagar market. There is this shop which I always visit when I'm in Sarojini for some amazing lipsticks. I'm fond of these lip liners from this local brand "teen teen". Now, I have some 7-8 lip liners from this brand and they haven't disappointed me at all.

About this babe...

Now red lipstick is my signature- I wear it almost every time, be it day or night. This is an amazing shade for the Indian skin definately. It is a deep red colour with blue undertones to it, if that makes sense. It is a close dupe for Mac Ruby woo, that's what I feel. It is matte and if you have been following me, you know I'm a sucker for matte lipsticks. It stayed on my lips for 3 - 4 hours without meal. My camera has not done justice to the colour, it has come a bit lighter in the picture. This is a perfect red that should be in every girls bag, you never know when you would need that red paint on your lips. I know I'm going to use this lipliner a lot so I'm planning to buy one extra lip pencil next weekend just in case you see :p. I have posted pictures below of both lip and hand swatches. This gives such a high impact look that too at such a cheap price, what more can we ask for???

Today I have something that I'm currently obsessed with these days. I was looking for a different fragrance from past few days and I came across this deodorant called little black dress from Avon. The name itself was so appealing that I quickly looked for some reviews about this product before buying it as I usually buy things online after a lot of research. And then two of my friends at work said they have been using it since school days and its great. I have never used  anything from Avon so this was my kind of debut with this brand and I must say I'm amazed. After using the deodorant for few days, I thought of buying the roll on from the same LDB range and the next day it was with me :p so you see the madness for this scent.

About the product..

Deodorant: Rs 299/-

Roll-on: Rs 199/-

I don't think they are easily available in the market, so you can either get them directly from the Avon agents or online. Now I'm worst in explaining the scent of perfumes, lotions or anything so pardon my explanation but I will try my best, I promise. When I first applied it, the scent was floral that too a very strong one and I started comparing it with the ponds powder with a little disappointment. But later the scent disappears into a light and musky kind of thing and it smells heaven. It smells classy and stays for 3-4 hours. I loved the smell so much that I got the roll on as well which smells heaven too. After shower, I use the roll-on and apply deodorant later, I can feel the scent whole day long on my body. I'm simply bowled over by their scent in short.

Scent ahhh "CLASSY"

Didn't irritate my skin (deo and roll-on both)

Mild and soft scent (not that strong), if you like strong scents then this is definitely not for you.

What I din't like....

Roll on becomes a mess sometimes because of its liquid thing.

So if you have been following my blog & posts, you must have noticed that I have continuously done like 5 lipstick reviews so I thought of some change in my pattern. Today the product that I will review is this new magical thing in the market called damn oops glam up :p but once you use it, you will end up saying damn up grrrrhh.

About the product.....

I'm so done with the glam advertisement where she/he says "naya glam up jab special dikhna ho". I mean seriously why on earth would someone go for this tube jab special dikhna hai . It claims to add some glam on to your but no where I could find the glam after applying this. This tube is a dupe for fair and lovely and I dont know why but i have never liked that creme. The texture and smell is exactly like fair & lovely, if you have used both you will agree with me. Your skin will end up looking white as if you have applied a lot of powder on your face which looks bad. My mother got this tube as she was too convinced by that advertisement I guess and I thought I should review this before anyone of you waste your money on this piece of trash.

So in the pictures above you will see how it left my skin looking white which is a big naaaaahhhh for all of us I'm sure.

My Sunday was a shopping day and since I love shopping, I now feel so complete :p. Monday sucked as always but I feel so good while reviewing this lippppy. Okay so today's talk is going to be about my favorite & first ever lipstick from NYX in the shade Indie flick. It retails for Rs 650 approx in the Indian markets, if you lucky enough to have these lipsticks in your city.





My take on it..

It is bright neon MAD orange colour definately not for the weak ones :p. Ohh my god, I'm in LOVE with its colour, texture, staying power, packaging and every damn thing. When I saw these lipsticks in the store, I thought they might be a bit pricey and so never had to courage to even ask the consultants there. Finally, I gathered the courage to know the price of these lipsticks and my jaw dropped when the girl there said RS ..... I wanted to grab two three lippies but then the colours available were not that greattt so I picked this one. The colour as I said is gorgeous and I think its a perfect dupe for Mac's lady danger. It is a neonish orange with orange indertones to it I guess coz it is a PERFECT ORANGE and if you are looking for a orange colour this is the one for you. In the pictures below, you will agree with me. Not everyone can pull off bright neonish colours but if you can, I say go for it blindly. It comes in a black plastic tube with a transparent part in the middle which shows off the colour. Ohh yes, it is matte as mentioned and might be quite dry on lips so if your lips are ready to take this dryness , just go on with it.

It is again a lipstick review and it is a gorgeous neonish pinkinsh colour from L'oreal. It retails for Rs 825, 4.7 gm product. The packaging is quite classy, comes in golden case which looks elegant in your make up pouch :p.


What it claims?

It is enriched with a combination of Omega - 3 oils & vitamin E and also helps your lips from drying. Its soft and creamy texture leaves lips moisturized and smooth with perfect finish.

My take on it.....

It is a mixture of  pink & coral shade with neon pink undertones to it, well if that explains the colour :p. It is creamy in texture, which glides on like a boss. It says the lipstick is color riche matte which is absolutely incorrect, it is buttery soft and from no angle "MATTE" for me. I dont usually prefer creamy lipsticks but this one I might buy again once I finish the current tube. Matte lover falling for a creamy lippy is a big thing I guess ^_^. This one stays for good 4-5 hours and after few hours it leaves a pretty pink stain which i also like. If you have chapped/dry lips, you better exfoliate, massage, scrub or do things like these before applying this lipstick or else you right. I think this colour is super cool for summers as winters are for dark colours right? In short , I liked this lippy despite of its creamy texture and woul recommend you all to try this once, specially the beginners in the makeup world.

This is the third lipstick in a row which I'm going to review now for you all. Now this one is from the blue heaven Xpressions range that they launched lately or may last year and I'm late :p I saw this lipstick in one of the makeup tutorial video by Shreya Jain and thought of ordering one just to see what are they all about.

I ordered these from flipkart and they retail for Rs 119/- each for a 4g product, I guess. What I loved about these lipstick is the price, I mean where do you get such cheap lipstick these days man.

About the Product

It comes in black box and gold coloured tube which looks pretty basic or decent. The shade I bought was Moonlight pink which is pink obviously as the name says but a very shiny kinda pink which I personally dint like. Once applied, it looks too flashy on the lips or may be on my lips or my skintone which is dusky. I think this colour wont really suit the darker skintones.

The texture of these lipsticks is amazing. It is not matte neither creamy but gives a satin finish which I loved about it and hence I'm planning to buy more colours from this range. Staying power is pretty decent considering the price of these. I dont really have much to say about this one as I have applied it only once or twice. This post is going to be about one of my favorite lipstick currently and that is Glamor fuschia from Loreal paris moist matte range. These retails for Rs 950 approx in the market but you get it online with some good discount.

About the lipstick



These lipsticks are enriched with omega 3 fats and vitamin E along with jojoba oil. The packaging is CLASS like literally it is super great and also one of the reasons to buy & flaunt it in your bag. It is brownish rose goldish colour with some stones studded on it to make it even more attractive. Now coming to my experience with this bomb, I totally love this colour for simple reasons which I will explain below.

This lippy will glide like butter on your lips and once you are done applying, it will give you a matte yet very soft finish, not that dry kind of matte but very soft and satin kinds if you know what I mean. I think this colour will compliment any skin tone and specially the indian skins. It is that one shade which will brighten up your face like nothing in the makeup world, you just wear this on bare face and you will look stunning, trust me girls. I would highly recommend you all to try this colour once and you will agree to all the above things I have said. Now you can enjoy the swatch on again my dost Shiivuuu's lips. In the picture, it somehow doesn't look that bright or fuschiasshhh.

I'm gonna talk about my favorite thing from the makeup game i.e. lipstick. Today, I have this lipstick angel from THE Mac :p.

There was some event at my office and from there I bought this lipstick. I swatched  the colour on my palms and it looked BOMB nudish and then the last thing I remember was that it was in my bag, churaya (steal) nahi Khareeda :p. I got it for Rs 1550 approx after some discount and stuff. Lets now jump into the reviews.

My take on this:

As said earlier, it looked bomb when I swatched it on my hands but not that amazing on lips. It is a nude colour with pink undertones to it. It is matte and when you apply it once the colour is still wearable but if you swipe it multiple times, it ends up looking cakey, patchy and I dont know what not. This colour wont look good on dark or dusky beauties as I fall under the same and it just makes me look blaaahhh. Girls with lighter complexion would be able to pull off this colour thats what I feel. Yes, you can add a transparent gloss to it and it looks little normal and not too flashy.
