How have you all been keeping?? I'm too busy these days as my friend's wedding is approaching and kicking my ass with a lot of shopping and stuff. So if you all have been following me, you know I'm going a bit crazy for natural products currently. Jayshree Rukhana from "The soap Factory" sent me some these delicious looking soaps and I just couldn't take my eyes off for a while. When I opened the packaging my room was filled with a mixed natural scent of lemon, orange, lavender and what not. I kept few in my bag and my whole bag was smelling so bloody good. So yes it has a very strong smell but it doesn't irritate your nose or wont bother you.

About the Soaps

As mentioned above, these are all natural hand made soaps and thus safe to use on your skin. The scent of these soaps are just to die for due to the presence of essential oils which relaxes your mind and body. I took the smallest bar with me to Rishikesh and its been 18-20 days and its still being used. Unlike other soaps, it doesn't melt which is a big yayy for me because I hate the melted soaps as they become extremely difficult to deal with. It give you enough lather but obviously not the ones you get from the market. But, I have been using these soaps and have no issues using them. My mother is really happy as these soaps do not melt easily hence they don't get over that easily. I think you should really get your hands on these bars if you are into organic things.

I was in Rishikesh for two days and my skin is gone a bit crazy because of the weather and water over there. Since I have been too much into my skin after this trip, I though I should come up with a skincare product post. Hence,  I'm back with a new post about a cleanser from Soultree. I have heard about this brand a lot and also seen its products online. Soultree is majorly known for its natural, organic skin care products. My Take.....

It comes in a plastic bottle with a flip-flop cap which makes it very convenient to take the required amount of product out. Because of its size and cap, you can easily carry it in your bag/pouch as the liquid doesn't come out of the bottle like many other products I have seen. Its actually a cleanser but you can also use it to remove makeup and it does an amazing job at it. If you religiously follow CTM (cleasing, toning & mosturizing) routine or planning to make it a routine, you can use this one as it is all natural. I don't use it as a cleanser as I don't follow cleansing method so I use at night to remove all the makeup or dirt on my face. It cools, soothes and protect your skin as it contains organic aloe and fresh rose water. 

Instructions to use - For cleansing, wash face and pat dry. Dab on cleanser and spread evenly using finger tips or cotton. Wipe off gently after two- three minutes. For removing make-up, take a few drops on cotton wool and gently wipe off.

Straight haired girls want curly hair, curly-haired girls wants straight hair, do we know what we want??? Well, the problem is we want every damn thing :)

Today, I'm going to talk about a tool that I always wanted since I was a little kid. I was born with with thick, wavy cum curly boring hair. I never ever liked my hair and wanted to straighten them as soon as I grow up and start earning. So I got them straightened from Looks Salon and I was on top of the world. I felt like some heroine :p

My thoughts on it...

So I got this straightener after doing a lot of research. I has one straightener which was from a random brand but since I had re-bonded hair, it worked pretty decent on them for an year or two. Then I got a major hair cut :p and I chopped my hair off completely. Now my hair is growing which is wavy and messy so I needed a straightener and thought of buying a good one this time. Coming to the product talks, I'm quite impressed with this straightener as it works perfectly for me because I have short hair. I have crazy wavy hair and it straightens them wonderfully that too with two strokes. It heats up in a minute and gives shiny, smooth hair without damaging them as it comes with ceramic plates.  I had no issues with this straightener so far (been two months) so I'm quite satisfied with it. I have posted pictures with two types of hair which I tried to straighten. One is already re-bonded hair and the other one is a messy wavy hair of my mother :D.

On my mother's hair, it took about 30-35 minutes and a lot of swipes per section of hair so that was little frustrating. So if you have long messy hair chop them off ;p just kidding, you need to have some patience. On the other hand, it will work perfectly on re-bonded/ less messy hair. Ohh it has a locking system and on-off switch as well.

What did I like?

Sturdy and travel friendly

Ceramic plates which means less damage 

Its pretty affordable I feel I don't know

What I din't like

Doesn't give salon straight hair as it says.

Might not work properly on long frizzy, curly hair (better skip this one if you have such hair type)

I know its too late to review this epiliator and that too not the latest model but then this is what I ordered and thought of sharing my thoughts about this product. So for those of you who don't know what an epiliator is, it is an electronic machine which is used to remove hair by pulling multiple hair at the same time from the root. It's just like waxing without the warm feeling of wax.

 I got this from paytm.com for Rs 1550/- approx however originally it costs Rs 2195/- so here I got a great deal. There was some discount on this and I also got some cashback so it ended up costing me for 1550 which was amazing. Now I was really scared because my previous shopping experience with this site wasn't that great. I ordered a lipstick and a wrong shade was delivered and then again I recently ordered boots from them and again got the wrong product. Anyway, coming to the product, I tried it on my legs today where I had long fat thick hair that I was growing for so many days and I don't know why. I was actually waiting to get them waxed however could not get time on weekends due to something or the other. When you have long hair, the pain is a bit more than the usual but for me it was okay. I mean obviously it was hurting but it was bearable for me. I got the below things with this epiliator.

It comes with a sturdy brush for cleaning the excess hair and a long cord. I'm very happy with the results and the fact that I can use it anytime time. You can also use this for your armpits which is again super good.

 

What I like

You can even wash it which is amazing

So today I'm going to talk about my pixie cut, my story from long to chopped hair. I don't know why did I even think of chopping of my hair off like all of a sudden. So I saw these videos and images of short hair and I made my mind just like that. The picture I have posted above was the one which actually created that thought in my mind of getting a pixie cut. So, it all started from this damn picture and then I went through a lot of videos (like hell lot of videos) on youtube. Finally, one day I just went to this salon called Gitanjali in Vasant Kunj. The lady at the counter was little shocked coz I had decent length. Before I could even say something, the hair stylist grabbed my hair and cut my ponytail. He proceeded to cut, chop and lop off  hair as my heart was pounding with every clip. Once it was done, my head felt so light and I looked so different and i dont know what like. Below I'm posting my picture (before and after).

PROS:

I feel more confident, Sexy, sophisticated and what not man.
Makes your life so damn easy
It is so coool in summers
Short hair is so chic right now
Haircuts and color are a lot less expensive



CONS:

It will take forever to grow ladies
You will have to trim it atleast every two weeks
You will have to wash it everyday but in my case I dont have to. I wash them after two days or even more :/
You can no longer play with those hair
